All Dashboards (New)

Introduction

Once you have access to Analysis Dashboards and log in to your Branch account, you’ll see a library of pre-configured dashboards in Analysis > All Dashboards, ready to use immediately. This article documents the full library.

For general information about dashboards, widgets, and Ivy, see Dashboards Overview.

Tip

Pre-configured dashboards are templates, not fixed reports. Copy a dashboard to customize its widgets, filters, and events for your own use case.

Part of this library is an important dashboard called Channel Performance, which appears under Analysis in the left-side navigation of Branch when your Branch package includes it. Cohorts and Funnel also appear under Analysis, and Dynamic Defense appears as its own item in the left-side navigation. To open any other dashboard, select Analysis > All Dashboards.

The library also includes our classic suite of dashboards, which we designed to replace our legacy data reporting pages, plus campaign, ad, keyword, segmentation, funnel, event, retention, link, Banners, fraud, and benchmark dashboards.

Note

Please note that there is not a 1:1 relationship between legacy data reporting pages and the new classic suite of dashboards. However, we’ve tried to maintain parity where possible. Also, the dashboards you see depend on your Branch package.

Standard filters

The Campaign Performance, ROI, Ad & Creative-level Performance, Keyword Performance, Platform & Geo Segmentation, Full Funnel, Event Analysis, and Engagement & Retention templates share a standard filter bar, so you can move between templates without relearning the interface. The standard filters, in order, are:

  1. Currency, when the dashboard includes a currency-based measure
  2. Date, which defaults to the last 30 rolling days
  3. Attributed, which defaults to true. Set it to false to include organic activity, similar to the “organic” checkbox in Branch Classic
  4. Platform
  5. Branch Channel
  6. Feature
  7. Ad Partner Name
  8. Campaign Name

Some templates differ from the standard bar:

  • Campaign Performance - SKAN Unified - T02 has no Platform, Branch Channel, or Feature filter.
  • Ad & Creative-level Performance - T04 adds an Event Name filter at the end.
  • Keyword Performance - T05 has no Feature filter, and adds Ad Name, Keyword Name, and Event Name after Campaign Name.
  • Platform & Geo Segmentation - T06 places Event Name before Feature, and Attributed has no default value, so the dashboard includes organic activity.
  • Event Analysis with Custom Events - T08 moves Feature after Campaign Name and adds an Event Name filter at the end.
  • Engagement & Retention - T09 adds three D Range filters before Currency, and Date defaults to the last 60 rolling days.

As a rule, filters aren’t hardcoded at the widget level. Every widget on a dashboard inherits its filters from the dashboard, so a single filter bubble controls every widget in view.

Dashboards

Dynamic Defense

Track fraud detection and prevention performance across campaigns and ad partners. See blocked events and monitor the impact of your fraud protection rules to optimize ad spend quality.

Dynamic Defense - Blocked Events

This dashboard includes the following widgets:

  • Total Blocked Events: a single value for blocked events in the selected period.
  • Most-blocked: Ad Partner, Most-blocked: Country, and Most-blocked: Branch Event: single values for the top ad partner, country, and event.
  • Blocked Events by Ad Partner: Top 10 and Blocked Events by Campaign: Top 10: column charts of the most-blocked ad partners and campaigns.
  • Blocked Events: Trend: a line chart of blocked events by day.
  • Blocked Events: Reason: a table of blocked events by ad partner, event name, fraud type, and fraud name.

Filters include Currency, Date, Branch Channel, Attributed, Platform, Event Name, Ad Partner Name, Campaign Name, and Secondary Publisher.

Dynamic Defense - Tagged Events

Track events that your Dynamic Defense rules tagged as suspicious, to review activity that you flagged without blocking.

This dashboard includes the following widgets:

  • Total Tagged Events: a single value for tagged events in the selected period.
  • Most-tagged: Ad Partner, Most-tagged: Country, and Most-tagged: Event: single values for the top ad partner, country, and event.
  • Tagged Events by Ad Partner: Top 10 and Tagged Events by Campaign: Top 10: column charts of the most-tagged ad partners and campaigns.
  • Tagged Events: Trend: a line chart of tagged events by day.
  • Tagged Events: Reason: a pivot table of tagged events by fraud name, fraud type, ad partner, and event name.

Filters include Currency, Date, Branch Channel, Attributed, Platform, Event Name, Ad Partner Name, Campaign Name, and Secondary Publisher.

Funnel

Track multi-touch attribution paths showing up to three touchpoints users interact with before converting. Identify assisted touches and understand which campaigns work together to drive conversions. Learn more about the Funnel Dashboard in our guide.

Track link-level performance, including trends for clicks, opens, installs, and click-to-open rate, broken out by platform and OS, plus a per-link performance table. Filter by Link Id or Title to focus on a single Branch Link.

This dashboard uses the Link Analytics data source, which includes link-specific dimensions like Link Id, Title, Domain, and Browser that aren’t available in the standard Activity data source. For the complete field reference, see Link Analytics.

Campaign performance dashboards

These three dashboards start at the top of the funnel: raw campaign and partner-level performance, from basic click-and-install tracking through iOS privacy-aware unified metrics and full ROI analysis.

Track performance by ad partner and campaign using Branch’s standard default events (clicks, installs, opens, reinstalls), shown as overall totals and broken out by day.

This dashboard includes the following widgets:

  • Event Totals: a table of all standard event types (impressions, clicks, opens, installs, purchases, and more) with total counts for the selected period.
  • Daily Trending Clicks, Installs, Opens: a stacked bar chart trending clicks, installs, and opens by day.

Key dimensions include Ad Partner Name, Campaign Name, Ad Set Name, and date. Key metrics include clicks, installs, opens, and reinstalls.

Use this dashboard for spotting trends, anomalies, and campaign pacing. It doesn’t account for iOS privacy measurement; for SKAdNetwork data, use “Campaign Performance - SKAN Unified - T02.”

Campaign Performance - SKAN Unified - T02

Reconcile SKAdNetwork (SKAN) and MMP data for iOS 14.5+ privacy-safe measurement, without double-counting installs or purchases attributed by both methods.

This dashboard includes one widget:

  • SKAN, non-SKAN, and Unified: Installs, Purchases: a table breaking out clicks and impressions alongside SKAN-only, non-SKAN (MMP), and unified (deduplicated) installs and purchases, by ad partner.

Key dimensions include Ad Partner Name, Campaign Name, Ad Set Name, and platform. Key metrics include unified installs, opens, purchases, and revenue, alongside the SKAN-only and MMP-only equivalents.

This dashboard is most useful for advertisers who need to reconcile SKAN and MMP totals into a single number.

ROI, Revenue & Cost Efficiency - T03

Track campaign profitability and cost efficiency together: revenue and cost trends alongside daily cost per install (CPI). ROAS and ROI are available as additional metrics.

This dashboard includes the following widgets:

  • Cost & Revenue: a stacked column chart trending cost and revenue by day.
  • CPI: Daily Trend: a line chart trending cost per install by day.

Key dimensions include Ad Partner Name, Campaign Name, and Ad Set Name. Key metrics include installs, purchases, revenue, cost, ROAS, ROI, and CPI.

This dashboard requires cost and commerce event data, so it’s best suited to paid, e-commerce-focused campaigns rather than organic channels. For example, use the Ad Partner Name and Campaign Name filters to compare cost and revenue for a single partner or campaign.

Ad, creative, and keyword performance dashboards

Once you know which campaigns work, these two dashboards help you find out which specific ad, creative, or keyword is doing the work.

Ad & Creative-level Performance - T04

Compare performance at the individual ad and creative level, side by side, to identify which specific assets drive conversions.

This dashboard includes the following widgets:

  • Performance: Ad Name: a bar chart of the top five ads by total event count.
  • Performance: Creative Name: a bar chart of the top five creatives by total event count.

Key dimensions include Ad Name, Ad ID, Ad Set Name, Creative Name, Creative ID, Ad Partner Name, and Campaign Name. Key metrics include impressions, clicks, installs, and cost.

Use this dashboard for creative A/B testing and creative iteration.

Keyword Performance - T05

Track search keyword performance for Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Apple Ads campaigns.

This dashboard includes one widget:

  • CTR by Keyword Name: a bar chart of click-through rate by keyword.

Key dimensions include Keyword Name, Campaign Name, and Ad Partner Name (for example, Google Ads or Apple Ads). Key metrics include impressions, clicks, installs, CTR, and cost.

Filter by keyword name to drill into an individual keyword or campaign, such as isolating the CTR for your brand keyword.

Segmentation, funnel, and event dashboards

These three dashboards zoom out from individual campaigns to look at where and how users convert, and what they do once they’re in your app.

Platform & Geo Segmentation - T06

Segment performance two ways in one report: by platform, OS, and device, and by country.

This dashboard includes the following widgets:

  • Events by Platform: a bar chart of event totals by platform (iOS, Android, web, and more).
  • Events by Country: a geographic bubble map of event volume by country.

Key dimensions include platform, OS, device type, and country. Key metrics include all standard event metrics, segmented by platform or geography.

This dashboard includes organic activity by default. Set the Attributed filter to true to limit the segmentation to attributed activity. Use this dashboard for budget allocation across platforms and for identifying international expansion opportunities.

Full Funnel - Awareness to Purchase - T07

Compare total event counts across the user journey, from awareness through purchase, in a single waterfall chart.

This dashboard includes one widget:

  • Awareness to Purchase: a waterfall chart of total event counts for clicks, impressions, installs, opens, and purchases, with a grand total.

Key dimensions include Ad Partner Name and Campaign Name (or an aggregated, campaign-agnostic view). Key metrics include impressions, clicks, installs, opens, and purchases.

Tip

After you copy this template, you can edit the widget to replace “Purchase” with any other goal event to track a different final conversion step.

Use this dashboard to compare the volume of each event type from awareness through purchase.

This is a different dashboard from the Funnel dashboard described in the table above, which shows multi-touch attribution paths rather than a single conversion funnel.

Event Analysis with Custom Events - T08

Understand everything users do after install in a single pivot table: standard conversion milestones (registration, login, trial start, initiate purchase) and your own custom events, broken out by campaign.

This dashboard includes one widget:

  • Event Performance: a pivot table of campaigns by event name, covering both standard and custom events.

Key dimensions include Ad Partner Name, Campaign Name, and event name (used as a dimension so standard and custom events appear side by side). Key metrics include total and unique event counts.

Filter by ad partner to scope the table to just that partner’s campaigns.

Cohort and retention dashboards

Branch offers two dashboards for tracking user behavior over time, grouped by acquisition date rather than by campaign attribution.

Cohorts

Track user behavior over time by grouping users based on app install acquisition dates. Review purchases, revenue, and ROAS by install cohort to understand lifetime value and campaign ROI, and add opens or other event counts to analyze retention. Learn more about the Cohorts Dashboard in our guide.

Note

Re-engagement cohort data isn’t yet available in Analysis.

Note

Until the new Cohorts dashboard is enabled for your account, Cohorts in the left-side navigation opens the legacy Cohorts page under Ads Analytics.

Engagement & Retention - T09

Track how a cohort of users performs over time after acquisition, broken out by Branch channel.

This dashboard includes the following widgets:

  • Purchases by Cohort Target: a stacked bar chart of D1, D7, and D30 purchases by Branch channel.
  • Revenue by Cohort Target: a stacked bar chart of D1, D7, and D30 revenue by Branch channel.

Key dimensions include Ad Partner Name, Campaign Name, cohort date, and Branch Channel. The default widgets focus on D1, D7, and D30 purchases and revenue; opens, reinstalls, sessions, ROAS, and ROI are also available as metrics you can add after copying the template to a new dashboard.

Configure the D Range filters to change the cohort windows. This dashboard is a good fit for validating that customer acquisition costs are recovered by your D30 revenue goal, and for content, social, or utility apps where engagement matters more than revenue.

Banners, cost, and benchmark dashboards

These dashboards cover Banners creative testing, cost efficiency by ad partner, and how your performance compares to your vertical.

Banners Activity - A/B Testing

Compare Banners creatives side by side to see which creative drives the most clicks and installs.

This dashboard includes the following widgets:

  • Total clicks by creative: a column chart of clicks for each creative.
  • Banners attribution - by creative: a pivot table of impressions, clicks, opens, click-through rate, and click-to-install rate for each creative.

Filters include Banner Name, Banner Id, Creative Name, Creative Id, Date, Branch Channel, and Attributed.

CPC and CPI

Compare cost per click (CPC) and cost per install (CPI) by ad partner, to see which partners deliver the most efficient traffic.

This dashboard includes the following widgets:

  • CPC and CPI: tables of cost, clicks or installs, and the resulting cost per click or install for each ad partner.
  • CPC Trend and CPI Trend: line charts of weekly CPC and CPI for your top five ad partners over the last 30 days.

Filters include Currency and Date.

Benchmarks

Compare your paid and organic performance against the median for your vertical. For more information, see Benchmarks.

This dashboard includes the following widgets:

  • Paid Install Share and Organic Install Share: your install share by ad partner or organic channel, next to the vertical median.
  • Paid/Organic Ratio: your ratio of paid to organic installs, next to the vertical median.
  • Paid Click to Install Rate and Organic Click to Install Rate: your click-to-install rate by ad partner or organic channel, next to the vertical median.
