Before you begin
To set up the Appier integration, you need:
-
Branch's Performance product enabled for your Branch account. Contact your Branch account manager or visit https://branch.io/pricing.
-
A Branch account with access to Configuration > Ad Partners and admin permissions to enable and configure integrations.
-
An Appier account with admin access.
Enable Appier
To begin, navigate to Configuration > Ad Partners > Appier.
Appier doesn't require credentials to activate. The integration is enabled automatically when you select Enable Appier on the Appier page.
Configure attribution
By default, Appier uses your global app attribution settings. To set attribution windows specific to Appier, enable the Override global app settings toggle on the Attribution windows tab.
For more information, follow Configure attribution in the general Ad Partner Integration Guide.
Configure postbacks
Enabling Appier automatically activates postbacks, including INSTALL, OPEN, and PURCHASE. The default postback URL template is:
http://post0.track.appier.net/limit_branch?asi=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~click_id)! }&idfa=<#if (user_data.os) == 'IOS'>${(user_data.idfa)!}<#elseif (user_data.os) == 'ANDROID'>${(user_data.aaid)!}</#if>&action_id=${ (name)! }&x_cts=${ (timestamp/1000)?long }&app_version=${ (user_data.app_version)! }&appier_id=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~secondary_publisher)! }&ios_app_id=<@loop data=app.app_bundles val="bundle"><#if user_data.os == bundle.os><#if bundle.os=="ANDROID"><@break/><#elseif bundle.os == "IOS">${(bundle.ios.bundle_id)!}</#if><@break/></#if></@loop>&android_package_name=<@loop data=app.app_bundles val="bundle"><#if user_data.os == bundle.os><#if bundle.os=="IOS"><@break/><#elseif bundle.os == "ANDROID">${(bundle.android.package_name)!}</#if><@break/></#if></@loop>&os=<#if (user_data.os)! == "IOS">iOS<#elseif (user_data.os)! == "ANDROID">Android</#if>&campaign_type=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~campaign)! }&ip=${ (user_data.ip)! }&country=${ (user_data.geo_country_code)! }&attributed=<#if (last_attributed_touch_data.$3p)?? && ad_network.machine_name?? && (last_attributed_touch_data.$3p)! == (ad_network.machine_name)!>1<#else>0</#if>&is_reengagement=<#if (reengagement_activity.attributed)?? && reengagement_activity.attributed>1<#else>0</#if>&x_dsp_name=<@firstNotEmpty>${(last_attributed_touch_data.~tune_publisher_name)!}|${(last_attributed_touch_data.~advertising_partner_name)!}</@firstNotEmpty>&carrier=${(user_data.carrier_name)!}&device_model=${ (user_data.model)! }&language=${ (user_data.language)! }&osv=${ (user_data.os_version)! }&ua=${ (user_data.user_agent)! }&x_rv=${ (event_data.revenue)! }&appier_cu=${ (event_data.currency)! }&json=<@urlencode><@jsonmap data=content_items></@jsonmap></@urlencode>&city=${(user_data.geo_city_en)!}&x_its=${(install_activity.timestamp/1000)?long }&x_clkts=${(last_attributed_touch_timestamp/1000)?long }&idfv=${ (user_data.idfv)! }&channel_id=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~channel)! }&is_impression=<#if (last_attributed_touch_type)! == 'IMPRESSION'>1<#else>0</#if>&campaign_id=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~campaign_id)! }&ad_set_name=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~ad_set_name)! }&ad_set_id=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~ad_set_id)! }&creative_name=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~creative_name)! }&creative_id=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~creative_id)! }&placement=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~placement)! }&placement_id=${(last_attributed_touch_data.~placement_id)!}&pam=<#if (last_attributed_touch_data_plus_pam_enabled)?? && last_attributed_touch_data_plus_pam_enabled>1<#else>0</#if>&sub_site_name=${(last_attributed_touch_data.~sub_site_name)!}
To add postbacks for additional events or to customize behavior, follow Configure postbacks in the general Ad Partner Integration Guide.
Create a Branch Ad Link
Create a Branch Ad Link to use in your Appier campaigns. Branch uses the link to attribute clicks and deep link users into your app.
Follow Create a Branch Ad Link in the general Ad Partner Integration Guide.
Verify your data
After your integration is connected and events are flowing, you can verify data is reaching Branch:
-
In Branch Liveview: confirm that events from your app appear in real time. This is the fastest way to confirm SDK events are firing.
-
In Branch Analysis dashboards: review attributed installs and events where
Ad Partner Name = Appier. -
In Appier: confirm that forwarded events are appearing in your Appier attribution reporting.
