## Before you begin

To set up the Appier integration, you need:

- Ad partner integrations enabled for your Branch account. Availability varies by Branch plan. See [Branch pricing](https://www.branch.io/pricing/) or contact your Branch representative.
- A Branch account with access to **Configuration > Ad Partners** and admin permissions to enable and configure integrations.
- An Appier account with admin access.
- [PAM](https://help.branch.io/marketer-hub/predictive-aggregate-measurement.md) enabled (recommended).

> **Note: PAM uses two separate toggles**
>
> The **PAM for Publishers** toggle for this partner, found under **Partner settings** > **Manage account**, is separate from the account-level **PAM switch**. **PAM for Publishers** must be enabled to reconcile conversion events with your partner. To attribute events with PAM, you also need PAM enabled on the [Attribution page](https://help.branch.io/account-hub/attribution-page-new.md) under **Configuration** > **Attribution**. Learn more in our [PAM Overview](https://help.branch.io/marketer-hub/predictive-aggregate-measurement.md#pam-for-publishers).

## Enable Appier

To begin, navigate to **Configuration > Ad Partners > Appier**.

Appier doesn't require credentials to activate. The integration is enabled automatically when you select **Enable Appier** on the Appier page.

## Configure attribution

By default, Appier uses your global app attribution settings. To set attribution windows specific to Appier, enable the **Override global app settings** toggle on the **Attribution windows** tab.

For more information, follow [Configure attribution](https://help.branch.io/marketer-hub/ad-partner-integration-guide-new.md#configure-attribution) in the general [Ad Partner Integration Guide](https://help.branch.io/marketer-hub/ad-partner-integration-guide-new.md).

## Configure postbacks

Enabling Appier automatically activates postbacks, including `INSTALL`, `OPEN`, and `PURCHASE`. The default postback URL template is:

```
http://post0.track.appier.net/limit_branch?asi=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~click_id)! }&idfa=<#if (user_data.os) == 'IOS'>${(user_data.idfa)!}<#elseif (user_data.os) == 'ANDROID'>${(user_data.aaid)!}</#if>&action_id=${ (name)! }&x_cts=${ (timestamp/1000)?long }&app_version=${ (user_data.app_version)! }&appier_id=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~secondary_publisher)! }&ios_app_id=<@loop data=app.app_bundles val="bundle"><#if user_data.os == bundle.os><#if bundle.os=="ANDROID"><@break/><#elseif bundle.os == "IOS">${(bundle.ios.bundle_id)!}</#if><@break/></#if></@loop>&android_package_name=<@loop data=app.app_bundles val="bundle"><#if user_data.os == bundle.os><#if bundle.os=="IOS"><@break/><#elseif bundle.os == "ANDROID">${(bundle.android.package_name)!}</#if><@break/></#if></@loop>&os=<#if (user_data.os)! == "IOS">iOS<#elseif (user_data.os)! == "ANDROID">Android</#if>&campaign_type=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~campaign)! }&ip=${ (user_data.ip)! }&country=${ (user_data.geo_country_code)! }&attributed=<#if (last_attributed_touch_data.$3p)?? && ad_network.machine_name?? && (last_attributed_touch_data.$3p)! == (ad_network.machine_name)!>1<#else>0</#if>&is_reengagement=<#if (reengagement_activity.attributed)?? && reengagement_activity.attributed>1<#else>0</#if>&x_dsp_name=<@firstNotEmpty>${(last_attributed_touch_data.~tune_publisher_name)!}|${(last_attributed_touch_data.~advertising_partner_name)!}</@firstNotEmpty>&carrier=${(user_data.carrier_name)!}&device_model=${ (user_data.model)! }&language=${ (user_data.language)! }&osv=${ (user_data.os_version)! }&ua=${ (user_data.user_agent)! }&x_rv=${ (event_data.revenue)! }&appier_cu=${ (event_data.currency)! }&json=<@urlencode><@jsonmap data=content_items></@jsonmap></@urlencode>&city=${(user_data.geo_city_en)!}&x_its=${(install_activity.timestamp/1000)?long }&x_clkts=${(last_attributed_touch_timestamp/1000)?long }&idfv=${ (user_data.idfv)! }&channel_id=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~channel)! }&is_impression=<#if (last_attributed_touch_type)! == 'IMPRESSION'>1<#else>0</#if>&campaign_id=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~campaign_id)! }&ad_set_name=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~ad_set_name)! }&ad_set_id=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~ad_set_id)! }&creative_name=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~creative_name)! }&creative_id=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~creative_id)! }&placement=${ (last_attributed_touch_data.~placement)! }&placement_id=${(last_attributed_touch_data.~placement_id)!}&pam=<#if (last_attributed_touch_data_plus_pam_enabled)?? && last_attributed_touch_data_plus_pam_enabled>1<#else>0</#if>&sub_site_name=${(last_attributed_touch_data.~sub_site_name)!}
```

To add postbacks for additional events or to customize behavior, follow [Configure postbacks](https://help.branch.io/marketer-hub/ad-partner-integration-guide-new.md#configure-postbacks) in the general [Ad Partner Integration Guide](https://help.branch.io/marketer-hub/ad-partner-integration-guide-new.md).

## Create a Branch Ad Link

Create a Branch Ad Link to use in your Appier campaigns. Branch uses the link to attribute clicks and deep link users into your app.

Follow [Create Ad Links](https://help.branch.io/marketer-hub/ad-links-new.md).

## Verify your data

After your integration is connected and events are flowing, you can verify data is reaching Branch:

- **In Branch** [**Liveview**](https://app.branch.io/testing-and-monitoring/events): confirm that events from your app appear in real time. This is the fastest way to confirm SDK events are firing.
- **In Branch** [**Analysis dashboards**](https://help.branch.io/marketer-hub/analysis-data-sources-new.md): review attributed installs and events where `Ad Partner Name = Appier`.
- **In Appier**: confirm that forwarded events are appearing in your Appier attribution reporting.

## Data mappings

### Campaign data

Branch populates the following fields from Appier campaign data.

| Branch field | Partner data |
| --- | --- |
| `~advertising_partner_name` | `"Appier"` (static) |

### Link parameters

By default, Branch automatically appends these link parameters to Appier ad links. When a user clicks the link, Appier provides the corresponding values, which Branch ingests and uses for attribution and reporting.

| Branch parameter | Link placeholder |
| --- | --- |
| Click ID | `{~click_id}` |
| Secondary Publisher | `{~appier_id}` |
| Campaign | `{campaign_type}` |
| Secondary Publisher | `${partner_id}_${channel_id}` |
