Enable Wider Planet (New)

Overview

Wider Planet is a South Korean demand-side platform (DSP) and data management platform (DMP) that offers big-data audience targeting and retargeting. Connect Wider Planet to Branch to attribute clicks and installs and configure postbacks.

Partner capabilities

Before you begin

To set up the Wider Planet integration, you need:

  Branch's Performance product enabled for your Branch account. Contact your Branch account manager or visit https://branch.io/pricing.

  A Branch account with access to Configuration > Ad Partners and admin permissions to enable and configure integrations.

     
   
•        

  A Wider Planet account with admin access. You'll need the following credential, available from your Wider Planet account manager: Wider Planet Client ID.

     

Enable Wider Planet

To begin, navigate to Configuration > Ad Partners > Wider Planet.

Enter your Wider Planet Client ID, then select Enable Wider Planet on the Wider Planet page. Contact your Wider Planet account manager if you need this value.

Configure attribution

To configure attribution windows, select the Attribution windows tab on the Wider Planet page.

To minimize discrepancies when comparing Branch and Wider Planet reporting, match your Branch attribution windows to the settings in your Wider Planet account.

Configure postbacks

Enabling Wider Planet automatically activates postbacks for INSTALL, OPEN, PURCHASE. The default postback URL template is:

Create a Branch Ad Link

Create a Branch Ad Link to use in your Wider Planet campaigns. Branch uses the link to attribute clicks and deep link users into your app.

Verify your data

After your integration is connected and events are flowing, you can verify data is reaching Branch:

  In Branch Liveview: confirm that events from your app appear in real time. This is the fastest way to confirm SDK events are firing.

     
   
•        

  In Branch Analysis dashboards: review attributed installs and events where Ad Partner Name = Wider Planet.

     
   
•        

  In Wider Planet: confirm that forwarded events are appearing in your Wider Planet attribution reporting.
