# General (New)

> Manage your Branch app's name, logo, and time zone in the General tab, and find your app ID.

## Overview

The General tab is where you configure the core details of your Branch app. Use this page to manage your app's basic information, including your app name, app ID, logo, and time zone.

To access this tab, select the app/profile drop-down menu in the top-left corner of Branch, then select **App Settings**. You can also go to **Configuration > App Settings**. On this page, the **General** tab is selected by default.

The **App settings** page can also show **Deep Linking**, **SDK Integration**, and **QR Code** tabs, depending on which features are turned on for your account. Some of these tabs open the legacy version of Branch.

> Branch's new experience is rolling out in phases, so your interface may differ. This article covers the General page in the new experience. To learn more, see [New Branch Overview](https://help.branch.io/account-hub/new-branch-overview.md). For the legacy version, see [managing your account](https://help.branch.io/account-hub/category/user-accounts-and-permissions.md).

## Configure settings

The General tab includes the following configuration options. To change them, you need **Edit** access to **App-level Settings**.

### App name

This is your app name as it appears throughout Branch. Your app name helps you identify your account and appears in various places across the platform.

You can update your app name at any time by entering a new value in this field. App names can be up to 50 characters.

### App ID

This is the unique ID that Branch uses to identify your app. Branch uses this identifier to associate data and events with your specific app, and some Branch APIs require it.

You can copy your app ID by using the **copy icon** next to the field. To set up the Branch SDKs, you need your Branch Key instead, which you can find on the [Credentials](https://help.branch.io/account-hub/credentials-new.md) tab.

### App logo

Upload your company or app logo to personalize your Branch experience. Your logo will appear in the top-left corner of Branch.

To upload a logo, select the file upload field under **Your app logo** and choose a PNG or JPEG image that's smaller than 1 MB.

### Timezone

Select the time zone for your app. The setting applies to everyone who uses the app, and Branch uses it for features such as scheduling banner campaigns.

## Save changes

After making any changes to your General settings, select the **Save Changes** button in the top-right corner of the page to apply your updates.

Branch will save your settings and apply them immediately.
